LCD Question

Hi guys,

I own a Dell 2001fp, and really have enjoyed it. I have found little to complain about until now. I noticed when watching a video that there is a "burn in" of the taskbar on the bottom of the screen. It is more vivid when the video shows lighter colors, and less visible with darker ones. I tried to take a screenshot to check if it maybe was a setting or a driver problem, but it did not get reproduced when i looked at the screenshot. Has anyone else had this problem? The monitor itself isn't even a year old.

Other things i tried. I hid the taskbar to see if there was some transparency stuff going on, but the line was still there. I hid the taskbar again and windowed the video and brought it down to where the taskbar/burned line is, and it was still there. It doesn't show up with pictures, or at least i cant see it.

Has anyone ever experienced this? It is very annoying.

thanks guys for any input

edit: looked it up in google, am trying the all white jpeg as a slideshow screensaver

You know this has happened to other people also. My friend knew someone who played wow for a long time and got a burn in at the bottom of the screen also. I have a LCD from videsonic but never noticed a problem... It could be because i have a hour shut off on my monitor but sorry to say theres no way to fix it

Sounds like you need to call Dell for possible warranty service.
