New Heatsink required?
Hey
I just bought a new CPU for my Dell Dimension 8200, which uses a somewhat different heatsink system than other copmuters, as the fan is independent of the heatsink itself...so Im upgrading from a pentium 4 2.4 to a 3.06, some people say that the hetsink I have is more than enough for the new CPU, but what do you think? and where can I get a heatsink that works for that combo? Thanks |

Most processors come with heatsinks. However, if you're buying it from someone else or for whatever reason it doesn't come with one, I'd buy one just for drill.

and most of the retail heatsinks that come with CPU's are far better today then recent years so they should be sufficient unless you are a big overclocker
