System Specs

Removing VF700 (in total)

How can i remove the ramsinks? cos they are put on the rams with that thermal paste glue stuff. can i remove it? I was told that it could be removed... but what does it take?

you could try placing the card in an anti static bag and freeze it then try and carefully remove them with a zaror blade or you might want to look into a good solvent to dissolve the adhesive

Try heating them up gently with a hair dryer, when warm peel off slowly

in the pics they look like thermal tape, if so easily done. If used paste like Arctic Alumina, good luck. I couldn't take mine off. Epoxy is meant for a permenant hold.

well I know this problem and I got them of by taking them and pull and turn gently...worked for me and it still is sticky

give it a try and tell me if it worked
