What should I do... Does it stay or does it go?(graphics+soundcard)

Hey whats up, I just purchased a new gateway (I know I should have built it on my own, give me a break I dont have time for that :-P) Anyways, Its AMD 64 X2 and has the GeForce 6100/nforce430. Now I have a very old graphic card (im not into games much but I noticed the new view sonic moniter i purchased (va1912wb) has a digital port. At the moment im using a analog. Should I put in the old AGP ATI 9000 which has a digital port or should I invest in a new graphic card (im not trying to go over board I watch a few dvd's here and there on the thing and what not. Maybe a few TV Shows here and there but nothing outragous I dont really play PC games either. Secondly I have a creative audiogy 2 card. Its a few years old and still works fine. Should I put this in or leave the current onboard sound.. Im tempted to throw it in but not really sure if it will be worth it as Im mostly useing headphones. Any comments or suggestions would be great, for what its worth its a gateway GT5056 pc.

Welcome to DH.
I don't know what onboard sound you have, but Audigy 2 should be a better solution. Still, if you don't play games or record anything, you'll hardly notice any difference (I think that Audigy 2 still has better sound quality than any onboard, but it's really hard to tell just by listening).
As for the graphics card, are you sure that you have an AGP slot on your new PC? If you have one, and you're not 100% sathisfied with the image on your monitor, give the veteran a try.
EDIT: I checked, Gateway GT5056 doesn't have an AGP slot. So I guess tha graphics card is going.
