Logitech Setpoint 2.60 drivers (April 2006 release)

If you have not noticed yet Logitech has released new drivers these April for their mice and keyboards

If you were using Logitech MouseWare with a Cordless Click! or a Cordless Click! Plus mouse, installing SetPoint on top of MouseWare will transfer control of your mouse from MouseWare to SetPoint. MouseWare will no longer recognize your mouse. If you were only using one mouse with MouseWare, you can now uninstall MouseWare and use SetPoint!

Logitech® MX™ 610
Logitech® G5
Logitech® V500
Logitech® MX™1000
Logitech® MX™900
Logitech® V500 Cordless
Logitech® MediaPlay™ Cordless
Logitech® MX™518

Keyboards

Logitech® diNovo™ Media
Logitech® Cordless Desktop® MX™ for Bluetooth
Logitech® Cordless Desktop® LX 700
Logitech® Cordless Desktop® LX 500

Yup, the current ones use a lot of resources too, I'll into this.

Nice Drivers imo....Appears to be a slght improvement for my mx1000,just a pity they don't improve the battery power time.

Joking aside i posted these on the front page yesterday and Alien1 gets the credit..

Where exactly did you posted these in the front page ??
I did not see that ?

If that's the case it's my mistake then

That would probably need a new firmware or a different type of battery for the mice not a new driver ??

I thought Logitech had promised a new firmware for the G7 (just like they did with the G5)

About the front page part it was in "World Technology News" via News Archive but this has dropped a few pages back now due to this being the news forum for DH.(this forum moves quickly so not everyone would notice it anyway)

It's no big Deal mate,ps i was joking about the battery part as you can not change it on the mx1000 laser mouse.

what sort of improvements are we talking about? responsiveness?
btw do you use uberoptions with your setpoint? beacuse im considering updateing from 2.47 but i hate it everytime i update i have to remap my keys because it resets them. is there anyway to keep the settings from uberoptions/setpoint?

I'm only taking minimal improvement in responsiveness but i did not use the 2.47 so this was quite a increase in driver version.

Never heard of uberoptions,And i find the default settings work the best for myself so i don't know if the is a way to keep settings without them being reset.

Installed fine, no need to remap the keys, it remembered them (of course, I didn't uninstall 2.47 beforehand). No clue whatsoever about improvements, just 2 more MB of memory eaten. No difference in functionality, as far as I can tell.

kool thanks for the heads up

if your interested lookup logigamer in google for uberoptions. uberoptions allows full mappage of all keys with your logitech keyboard/mouse that uses setpoint.
