Do I need a SLi PSU to have SLI?
Hi,
I'm about to get a new mobo and 2 geforce 7900GXT to have an SLi system, and I'm concerned that I might have to change my PSU... I've seen some PSU's bragging about being SLi compliant so I don't know if there is some sort of feature required for a PSU to support SLi. My current PSU is this one (sort of obscure but with good reviews all over): http://www.aquapc-forum.com/showthre...1&highlight=lc http://www.hard-h2o.com/review/psu/l...corpio480.html I would really prefer not having to buy a new one Last edited by vanalex; Apr 24, 2006 at 11:58 AM. |

you will want more then 480 watts for SLI with those cards. The reason an SLI power supply is nice is they have 2 PCIe power connectors. Take a look at the NEO 550 HE from antec... i do no have SLI but love the power supply.
