Problem Overclocking Opteron with A8N-E

I recently made the computer in my sig. I'm having trouble overclocking the processor passed 240 frequency. Whenever I put it past 240, the bios will show the overclock, but in CPUZ it will revert back to default speed (1.8ghz). Anything below 240 seems to work fine and the temps are pretty low, 32 C right now at 2160mhz. I have overclocked my last few computers just fine, so I think I have a decent idea of what I'm doing.

I have searched these forums and google and haven't been able to find a solution to my probmlem. Someone posted on another forum to enable the floppy disk drive, but that didn't seem to help. I have also tried reverting to older bios, but my CPU isn't recognized by anything below 1010. Currently I am running the latest bios for my mobo, 1011.

Are my motherboard and CPU just not compatible? or did I just receive a faulty one? I just got it a couple of days ago so I should be able to send it back to Newegg and get something different if I can't get it working.

Fixed it, I just had to turn the HTT off of auto and down to 4x. Hope this helps anyone else that has the problem.

yeah, if you get your htt above 250Mhz you'll want to switch it to 3x
