Memory on my Herc 9700 pro looks fried - pink dots everywhere.

Back on the Parhelia until I can RMA it - hopefully I can find my receipt.

I understand the memory has an acrid odor before it succumbs to the dragon, did you smell anything, I have pushed my radeon 8500 over the edge many times, shut it down, put in a bigger fan and memory heatsinks and it works fine....can you go back to default bios settings for your mobo and card and check it out?

Didn't change my settings. I don't need to overclock or tweak my rig - its plently fast enough with the 9700 pro.

Now, using a Parhelia, UT2003 looks a bit fugly without any AA as it's too slow with FAA on the P.
