Tom's Hardware did an article that looked at just that issue - MSI didn't do well. Here's a link to the page on the mainboards they used within the article on the 805 processor:

Tom's Hardware

That puppy overclocks extremely well on the board they were using...

Just noticing his ram, might be looking to overclock a bit - not an Intel thing historically...

the new express boards, especially the 975 vers are made to oc. which is why i just ordered one. if i can get a decent oc withe intel stability ill be one happy camper.
i am positive it will not oc like a top end asus or abit(etc) but these guys seem to falling down on the jodb lately to. or at least stumbling form what i have been reading out there.
anyway, will be interesting

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what you're able to do when your Intel board comes - I'd read the latest boards would overclock, but knowing the history (which has meant the ultimate in stability)...

It'll just be nice to see too, from you as one of our own Mike, what your take is on Intel overclocking.

I have the p5wd2-e premium. It is a 975X based ASUS board and though i have tried to OC very little it runs well. The board has fully loaded with crossfire, firewire, HD audio, tons of USB and Raid. Infact it has 2 SATA controlers giving you up to 8 drives and 4 of which can be raided. (what i am doing now). It is one hell of a board imo but it kinda pricy... 200+ usd.
