Mac OS X: Is it the best of both worlds?

Betsy Waliszewski, Product Manager for Open Source books over at O'Reilly, has posted a weblog entry looking for feedback on Mac OS X.

Working in the O'Reilly bookstore at the WWDC a couple of weeks ago was quite an eye-opener for me. As a product manager here at O'Reilly, I'm familiar with the Unix crowd, but I'm pretty new to Mac users....It was exciting to see the community building that was going on around the Mac OS X operating system. There seems to be a great passion among its users for Mac OS X -- similar to the passion I've seen in the Perl community toward the tools that they use....Seems to me the Mac community has a great story to tell, and I'd love to hear those and share them with others.
