Directx9
Hey. im having problems viewing any mpeg4v3 movies...i get this error when i try and view one and im pretty sure my codecs are correctly installed...Classfactory cannot supply selected class... i heard its because of directx9...is this true? and is ther anyway around this besides reformatting? i heard that ms claims there is no way to uninstall dx9 and that the 3rd party uninstallers do not work.
thanks for the help[ |

Reinstall the codecs - with MPEG4 codecs, for some damn reason if they break, reinstalling is the only way to fix em, even if they were installed properly to begin with... There really isn't any practical way to uninstall DX9, but you really shouldn't need to, since DX9 shouldn't break anything... did this error start up just after you installed DX9?
