Computer dead?

I turned on my computer at work today and after about a minute it went off. Well, not exactly off, there is an oreange light, (looks like maybe in stand by mode?)

everytime try to turn it off and back on, it comes on green and then afteer 5 seconds i get a blinking orange again.

I called my company's tech support. They are going to send out someone to replae the processor.

My question is, does that mean i lose everything on my hard drive???

It shouldn't if they're just replacing the Processor. You will only lose it if they do something with your HD, or do a format.

peace

no matter what part of the computer system goes wrong, you usually not going to lose everything on your hard drive.
just make sure that you tell the company's tech support that if for some reason they have to replace the hard drive you'll want to get your files off the hard drive first. and then they should know what to do...
