Plz Help! Hard Drive Issue!!!
ok, now about 30 min ago i was surfing the net, downloading some stuff, when my hard drive was making loud noises. like, louder then my music! (i got 5:1 surround sound) i know what this grating noise meens, for the most part (my hard drives screwed) so i was about to run a disk defrag when (god s me) we had a blackout. now i dont have battery backup so i waited bout 5 min. the power came back on. i opened my case, out of curiosity. pretty dusty, so i broke out the canned air. plugged it back in, and turned it on. as soon as i reach the desktop, an error comes up (one of those speach bubbles that pop up from the toolbar) saying i have a corrupt file, and to run CheakDisk to flag it. i know what the file was, and theres quite a story behind that. (i love making ppl read
) so one day, mebbe 6 moths ago im surfing the web, when on one page (like google search or something) a toolbar pops up in my browser. "SeekMo." i delete it, and LO AND BEHOLD! theres a icon on my toolbar too! when i right click the only option is: run seekmo search. well i dont want to do thart so i go to "add remove programs" its not there. so i give up and ive had this annoying little orange bug on my toolbar ever since. now the file, of course, was SeekMo. i thought: "its not a virus or a trojan, i musta run 5-6 viri scans since then" so i run chkdsk and it flags like 20 files, all with "seekmo" in the name. now heres my problem: WHY WONT THE STINKEN THING FLAG IT! ive run CheakDisk mebbe 5 times already and i keep getting that bubble error!!! and every time i run it, it finds the same disk sections to flag! it has a destination, whitch happens to be C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Toolbar\SeekMo. i go there and when i reach "all users" and click on "toolbar" it freezes up, prooving that section of disk is corrupt. i have to run Ctrl/Alt/Delete to close the screen. PLEASE HELP! THIS IS GETTING ME WORRYED!

When you run chkdsk, run it from the command line like this:
Code:
chkdsk /f /x /v |
