Curious about "Correct" way to Install OPTY HSF

Im pretty sure I have it right but I thought I would get some opinions. On a North/South install should the Heatpipes curves be at the bottom or the top for most effective cooling?

OK, mine are at the bottom which I believe is correct. AFAIK, heatpipes are based on the fact that the substance inside vaporizes and rises up the tube before condensing and running back down to the bottom of the tube again thereby dispensing the heat at the top of the heatsink.

I believe that most heat pipes are now 'sinterized'(sp?) so they contain a substance that minimizes the effect of having them the wrong way round...

Thats a very simple explanation I know but its the best i could come up with just now!!

Works for me as thats my thoughts on it as well. I had just seen pics recently and they were the other way round so I started t doubt my choice.
