New LCD Monitor connection problem

I recently contacted NEC over the way they ship the LCD2170NX monitors with DVI-D leads (just bought a 2170NX), when the ATI and Nvidia cards I have all use DVI-I sockets. I thought I would take advantage of the 'special' price on the 24" Dell and buy one of those but the spec on the latest Dell 24" (2407WFP) shows they have started using DVI-D leads now. See the spec PDF http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=5 9234

The NEC LCD 21.3" 2170NX has DVI-D male connectors either end of the cable. I can't find a cable or gender change adapter, with DVI-D on the one end (to connect to the monitor) and DVI-I (to connect to the graphics card) on the other end.

The link NEC gave me to try for a gender changer don't sell them and one of the main supplier of connectors and leads for monitors didn't either. I have used the supplied VGA cable to connect but if anybody could advise me where to purchase either a DVI-D to DVI-I cable or gender changer, I would be grateful.

A couple of the many suppliers I have tried (UK) -

Appreciate any help

Many thanks for your rapid replies. I have tried using the DVI-D cable that came with the monitor but apart from it being a different connector it's the same size metal connector exterior as my X850 Radeon socket. I looked at the VGA to DVI connector and that is also the same size so I'm stumped.

your NEC monitor come with a DVI-D Single-Link cable.

what kind of the DVI-D input port of the monitor, DVI-D Dual-Link input port or DVI-D Single-Link input port?

The top connector is the VGA to DVI adapter that came with the graphics card (the same DVI-I connector as the one on the graphics card) and the bottom two are on the NEC DVI-D cable that came with the monitor.

Thanks for your time anyway and guess it's left to NEC tomorrow to try and sort something out.

No twisted or bent pins as everything was new but the problem was down to me. This time I tried, I applied much more pressure when connecting the monitor cable plug to the graphics card DVI socket and it did eventually plug in. I was just not applying enough pressure. Many thanks temeteus82 and to everybody who replied - sorry to have troubled you.
