help me!!!!might have a dead PSU

in that case, then IMO it's just a okay power supply,
as for the "Will i be able to run my x1900 xt" i'd say yes, it will be able to run the system that is using one of the video card. just buy it.
wise you can come and bring your system with you or just take the same power supply to test your existing system under it.

thanks for the reply.But the cost of the PSU + shipping would pretty much leave me bankrupt.'ll keep it mind though.For now i'll have to settle for the coolermaster one.

I hear those ones are REALLY efficient and good on the electricity bill

Antec makes a good PS also.Lots of good ones out there....and bad ones too.BEWARE of PS's sold by your local computer shop....you know,the one's with no boxes....they buy them by the score for little or nothing from China or wherever.Just do your homework!

Antec NeoHE 550 550W -- the specs for it at the antec's product page looks okay to me... APFC, ATX12V v2.2, and everything -- however, this model is modular design/plugs which i don't like to use this kind of power suply. there is a good, but more bad things about it.

Antec True Power Trio "TP3-650" 650 Watts -- again, the specs for it at the antec's is okay ( http://www.antec.com/specs/TP3_650_spe.html ) -- But i can't seem to find anywhere (may be i just have missed it) that this model compliant with what? ATX12V? EPS12V? and what version?

the Cooler master RS-550-ACLY 550W however, comes with a specification compliance ATX12V v2.01 (and EPS12V V2.1 at least the ones i own) which is older version than the NeoHE 550 550W... but it's still better than the NeoHE 550 and it also could be better than the True Power Trio TP3-650 as far as i am concern.

as for the "is the antec P180 a good case?" i've never used it, but i believe it's a good computer case.

i told you what i think of all that. you decide.

Enermax Noisetaker's are good PSU's if you don't like modular, cheap and long lasting
