Upgrade time
Hi,
I currently have a skt 754 AMD 64 3200+ Newcastle processor, and an msi k8n-neo platinum. Its been brilliant, but just lately its been getting on my nerves. Its not fast enough. I do play games, but only really Half life 2 ane AOE3. I never use aa and never use af, and i game at 1280x1024. I have £200 to spend, and i was thinking of getting a E6300 (£130) and a 775Dual-VSTA. Is this a good upgrade? I have 2gb Dual channel DDR Ram, and a 9800pro. When nVidia release a decent SLi Conroe board and some DX10 Cards i would like to get that, along with ddr2-8000 ram, but in the mean time is the E6300 and 775Dual-vsta any good? I like multi-tasking (firefox, itunes and usually winrar decompression). Is there going to be a noticeable increase or should i just wait and save for a full kit at once rather than a slow upgrade? |
