VisionTek is BACK!

That is right folks....

While surfing the net last night... I typed in www.visiontek.com

Expecting to see the flash animation that is famous... or infamous... depending on who you talk to.

However... I was greeted by a website, not just a flash animation! Although not quite complete, you can see that VisionTek is now working on a complete revamp of the site, and the manufacturing of XTASY graphics cards.

On a side note to all of you VisionTek owners out there. Your LLT warranty is now covered again. Thats right folks! The new VisionTek is honoring all warranties of all retail VisionTek cards.

You can check out the VisionTek site here.

rolleyes I love visiontek, I'm glad they're back; but...

I take issue with their new "image"... Here's a bit from their 9500 Pro blurb:

Quote:
Freak’n KICK ASS performance 9500 Pro, powered by ATI’s RADEON™ 9500 PRO VPU with 128MB DDR memory WILL BLOW YOU… AWAY! ATI’s TRUFORM™ technology makes heaving orbs more ample and well-endowed… while HYPER Z™ II saves bandwidth for mo’ righteous performance in your more demanding sit-e’ations… ATI’s SMOOTHVISION, anti-aliasing, KICKS THE CRAP out of ‘visual distortion,’ and sends that BI-A-TCH crying home to mama! That means better, smoother looking images. HI-RES 32-bit, 3D gaming up to 2048x1536 means that when ‘intense applications’ leaves his house… THE 9500 SLAPS THAT PIG DOWN, SAYS "GIMME MY’ MONEY BI-A-TCH!"
I dunno if that really 'speaks' to me or not, but I sure wouldn't mind trying one of their cards!

Me hugs littleZ (VisionTek vanilla GF3.....240/530), my first piece of visionTek luving...and now no longer my last!

I have to admit that took me by suprise... I found it entertaining to say the least. VisionTek has always been a little "out there"... Really to tell you the truth... I dont care! It is better than trying to read the dried up techno mumbo jumbo that usually is listed on sites... and it is an interesting touch.

The best news is that VisionTek is supporting older nVidia cards with the LLT warranty that they origianlly came with! I can not tell you how pleased I am to hear about this little piece of news!

VisionTek has always had the best IQ of all nvidia products... I for one, can not wait to see what VisionTek can do to a core that ALREADY has excellent IQ This is all quite outstanding!

A few people know that I have always been a huge fan of VisionTek. They have always treated me right. Right now.. as I type this I am using a VisionTek XTASY Geforce4 Ti 4200se 128MB DDR graphics card. I got it very cheap because VisionTek was no longer a company, and retailers were dumping stock. If the cards are no longer supported... then the retailers no longer carry them.

Now... after owning this card for roughly 6 months... I find out that I do actually have a full warranty! BWAhahahahaaaa! That worked out well!

Don't get me wrong...

I love VisionTek, they make some killer cards! I just ain't sure about their advertising, I think they could crank it down about a notch and a half and it would be a bit more palatable.

VisionTek (was) is a great video card manufacturer, one of the first video cards I ever bought was a GF2 GTS (32mb DDR), and for the money, that was a really fast card.

Now it lives in my mother's computer-replacing the slower than slow Vanta that came w/ the computer, honorably displaying endless websites, flash animations, home movies, DVD's, and Digital photographs. Visiontek was always a step above the rest in quality-- IMHO.

Wow, I just went to their site- what the hell are they doing? I thought Visiontek was a respectable company, It looks like they're trying to be something they're not. My opinion?- they should stick to what they were good at- good cards with good tech support.
Obviously their marketing department was "brainstorming" and came up w/ what we see at the web site. It makes me think that someone just bought the name "Visiontek" and it is actually a whole different company.

they should just stick with being professional.
i mean, they don't really have to try to market their

people..

Exactly, but it almost seems they are trying really hard to take all that respect they have already and throw it out the window. Makes you wonder....

Hog54, you really need to go back and read your news again. BFG Technologies was created from resources coming from VisionTek! These illegal acs went all the way up to Hilton Sessel, who is the director of sales for nVidia. There was a lot of dirty underhanded stuff going on there.

Only time will tell... So, please stop trolling.
