Possible to force dual core support in games?
Just wondering. Playing on a T2300 core duo 1.66GHz and only being able to use one core really isn't cutting it for me. I'm pretty sure the performance boost would be pretty intense if I could utilize both. Anyone have any idea if this is possible without actually altering the game?

that's pretty cool
that's pretty cool, I heard that the two cores split up tasks. I didn't know if it would be possible to combine the two to complete a single task though. Thanks for the help!

Not so much "combine" as use one for the "real" task and one for all the junk that goes on in the background.
ATI graphics drivers are now threaded, at least for DirectX. Unless an application is so incompatible with dual core or hyperthreading that the extra CPU / logical unit has to be disable or limited (using process affinity), any application can draw some benefit from offloading background tasks, though this will not convert to full utilization.

awesome
k, giving it a try. Based on what I'm reading, this program lets you determine which processor the programs utilize correct? This can come in quite handy
