I busted my intellimouse on Bubbles, which is actually on Vladd now...and it actually was a cheap Dekka knock-off of an Intellimouse that I just used the intellipoint software with.
Oh, and I didn't really break the mouse...I busted the USB/PS2 adapter thingy, cracked it right in two. No biggy, I prefer the PS2 input for some dumb SoF reasons, but it works with the USB. But it doesn't work as an intellimouse, and I can't find software for it for XP....oh, and I ain't got a spare USB/PS2 adapter thingy handy either. It works thru the USB connect just fine, but only as a 3-button scroll mouse. Not good enough, I'm totally addicted to a 5-button mouse now. I NEED copy/paste/enter buttons on me mouse too now! So on a bathing suit run to Target, I notice the GE Deluxe Optical Mouse for $19us and it looks pretty much like another intellimouse rip-off...but it has TWO scroll-wheels! ![]() And if nothing else, it has the USB/PS2 adapter thingy so it'll "fix" me current dilema even if I don't like it and I can sell it off down the road. But something weird, I LIKE it! It's pretty sweet. The install was straight forward, I haven't disabled the DVD player in Vladd yet so it was literally insert the disk and it installed all the necessary drivers. I rebooted per instructions, unplugged the Dekka and plugged in the GE and it automatically detected it just fine. (And hot swapping the USB mice was no problem either. I know that shouldn't surprise me, but I'm NOT a big fan of hot swapping ANYTHING! )And it just works. The GE software gives me the same options as the intellipoint 4 does, but it also added a neat bell-n-whistle that I haven't played with much...you can assign one of the mouse buttons to pop-up a 14 button command window that you can customize the bejesus out of. I never would have thought that handy before, but I never thought the day would come when I couldn't survive without a 5-button mouse either. Hey, you develop patterns of editing...and I am a whole lot quicker with a 5-button mouse now than with a normal one. I could see the menu-thingy as coming in handy. ![]() Anyways, the only thing I have yet to test with this thing is durability/longevity..but time will tell. It's just that I have seen this mouse around before for cheap and been curious as to how it works, so I thought mentioning that it's a sweet little replacement you can find in a hurry.

Yeah, it's surprisingly nice. The one bad thing is the dual-scrolls don't work in games, I have to set it to "intellimouse compatible" before playing, but it's a breeze to switch that on/off so no biggy.
