Yes, I have just ordered my first build parts, see below.

My question is this, should this system outperform my Celeron D with 768mb Single Channel memory? ()

Total With Shipping: 711.09$

I have a 200GB IDE Hard Drive thats going in this beast, and a DVD-RW/R/CD-RW/R Drive, Black

System Specs

That PSU looks a bit weak for that configuration .... might work or not... cant really tell.. mope it can take the load...

System Specs

na, it's lots of power, and a good computer for sure. Hell, my whole system is running off a 350w ps.

Ya actually i emailed newegg, and changed my order to an E6300 and a X1900XT. I think that was a good decision :P

if the 450W that come with computer case is a good power supply unit, then the above + 1-2 hard drives should still be okay. otherwise it's not.

when you don't or can't have a choice you should not worry about it.
but i like you to know that: not only the DC output specs or the wattage claims that makes it a good or better power supply, nor making it and your system last... there are all kind of supply out there as you might know. in these supply units there are many kind of the system protection built into it, such as over voltage, over load, over current, EMI, RFI protections... sometimes you can almost check it by looking at its specs and its wattage claims, hold it and feel its weight. sometimes are not that at all.
and sometimes you can be sure that you're using a good power supply when you were buying it or your power supply is made by such a company who is born from producing and selling their power supplies and also trusted by many...
