I have TWO lite-on 52x's still trying to sell one (the new one)- now for 40 dollars. I wish someone was on here selling one for 40 bucks when I bought mine for 62 dollars- Sheesh- You can't give these things away.

You could take them to a local computer store, and sell them ... Or put them up on ebay , I was looking at ebay before I ordered the one I have now... and they were going for 100 dollars US after shipping... pretty insane... people seem to get caught up in the whole bidding thing. They almost always end up spending more.

The 52X Lite-ON is not silent, but it also is not nearly as loud as I was expecting.

Just a high pitched purr.... but the good thing is.... you wont be hearing it for long... LOL 2:39 to complete a full CD Not too bad at all!
