Weird noise and hard lock up

Dont know if this is the right area to post sorry if it isnt.

Ok my problem is that my computer makes a crackling noise then hard locks or just reboots it happens when im listening to music or playing games, even does this with ventrillo.

My specs

6800 pci express (oc)
amd 3200+
1 gig pc3200
2x80 gig hardrives ide 133
MSI MS7093 Ati Radeon Express Motherboard
audigy 2 zs
600 watt psu

I dont know if it could be a bios problem as I changed the memroy timing to cas 3.0 instead of 2.5 as my ram supports 3.0.

Any help would be appreciated thanx.

Have you re-seated the sound card into the motherboard? It may be just the card has worked its way loose.

Also may be dust built up on your sound card or just in general inside the case.

nope never helped i even tryed using onbaord just a pain because i played 2 hours of battlefield 2 fine t hen quit the game chatted on ventrillo with friends then it hardlocked

please could someone help me? it crackles for about 5 seconds then hardlocks.

it even crashed when i was watching a movie it crackles and starts stuttering then eventually crashs does anyone have any ideas? could it be the fact that my board is ati and my graphics card is nvidia?

Ok i unplugged my soundcard and played for around 2 hours on various games with no sound and I never crashed once so im going to use my onboard sound see if it crashes with that.
