P5W DH Booting Probem
Hi just bought new motherboard P5W DH for my E6600. Iam using MSI Neo-F P965 right now because when I was gonna change motherboard and everything. I have X1900XTX and Corsair 5400 2x512MB and with Hiper Red-Label 580W. Nothing problem at all everything run fine.
Problem: When I change motherboard and connected everything, make sure everything are on the right place. I boot it up, it show and got message Intel CPU uCode Loading Error Press F1 To Resume, so I did... And it got me to windows. So I thought it need bios udate. So I got it from a swedish tech site that said you should update because it need to reconize Conroe. And when I had update everything works fine. So I was thinking.... Formate my computer and install everything from scratch. So I enter Bios and make it to Boot from DVD. And than I save and exit from now I cant do anything. I get blackscreen and nothing happen. I reboot and reboot but nothing. I start computer and I get blackscreen. I have tried everything, change RAM to other slots. Look at cabel connect. So I took everything out and move everything to my old board. Everything works fine, Iam using it right now. So I tried again and move everything again. But same problem I cant se anything.Any ide why? or what I should do? send motherboard back? |

A silly question...have you tried resetting the Cmos...?
There also is a chance that the bios has been corrupted, that can be solved by putting the CD that came with the motherboard in. And it should restore it to its shipping bios... And a note, if you get that press F1 to resume or del to enter setup, press del next time and choose "load default settings" from the bios...let it post again and then go ahead and change whatever setting you like...

Yes one more thing! My keyboard sems not to respond. When I start computer I get
blackscreen, my mouse are lighting, but keyboard sems to be dead. I try to press NumLock but it wont light up. Its nothing wrong wit it because Iam using it right now on my old motherboard. About that CD, will it work? I mean I cant se anything. And it sems to just give me blackscreen and nothing more. |

Try moving your video card to the second PCIE slot.

having read all these, and Necrosisis also using this same board and all.
i suggest you return the board for an exchange (if you can still do it), and then go from there. |

I think they will charge me, because my friend told me he thinks (almost sure 99%) that its bios corrupt when I flash it. Because it was old bios and now it dont give me screen when I boot. So they will have to take out bios from motherboard and re-flash.
So warranty wont help it ![]() But my friend said you can do that by your self, take out bios and than in other motherboard and re-flash with new. He have done that before so I will be visiting him and try it out. |

Normally Asus will send you bios, and if they charge you it won't cost much. You can either send your current for them to flash it. or just order a new one. Too bad you live where you do or I'd let you hot flash it in my board.
