9800 pro installation error

alright. i have a 9800 pro radeon on my other cpu. the card is not detected by windows. when i access display setting on the desktop i ahve nothign there. so i try to install cat (any version) and all i get is this message claiming that there is no card detected that supports directx. so i used ddrive clean pro to get rid of all ati drivers. it did nothing i still get the same error during cat installation.

it says i should installed standard vga drivers and then running installation. well i cannot find these drivers at all. i never had this problem before on my abit nf-7 motherboard. now im using an asrock something- it supports up to x4 agp but that shouldnt matter i cannot isntall the card lol.

anyways im going to use my old old gf2 until this is resolved.

i tried the installation cd for my radeon- i get the same error! windows and all of that is updated. motherboard is updated as well. im thinking MABYE there is an integrated gpu on the board. going to check that out.

it wants the windows own vga driver I would guess.
uninstall, remove/reseat, reboot to safe mode, let windows install whatever the pop-up tells you it needs

then go ahead and put vid drivers on
