network problem
I can browse the web fine but I can't connect to mirc, emule, msn messenger, and i cant even open the gmail website. This problem has happened a couple times and releasing/renewing ip seemed to have fixed it but this time it won't. I tried using a different port on the router to no avail. I also tried a manual configuration where you input the IP's and DNS. I was able to use all these programs a few hours ago just fine, on th same router.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Try resetting and re-setup-ing the router and see if that clears it up

you have probabally already checked but make sure that windows firewall is not blocking you. sometimes after windows update is ran and hotfixes are installed the firewall will reset all exceptions.
then your next step is to take the router out of the loop and see if you can connect to all these sites. |
