??? Intel Application Accelerator

I was wondering if anyone has tried this Intel Accelerator on the 845pe chipset.
Does it help game performance? Thanks in advance

Isn't the IAA just a fancy name for Intel chipset drivers?

well it really isn't the chipset driver it is more the IDE driver. it works really well if you install the chipset and iaa drivers properly. but if you just install them out of the blue after you have your machine setup it will mess things up. at least that is how i have had problems.

That's correct. Install the chipset drivers first and then the IAA software. I have a P4 on a Intel 845 mobo and it works very well. Noticable hd performance increase from installing IAA. Not sure if my board is a PE though, early 845 mobo if that helps.
