Well, after recieving the first board broken, I'm glad to say I recieved my new one today. I'm using it now and it is working great! As you may remember last time I had problems with adjusting settings in the BIOS and CPU temp mis-readings. I had no problems what so ever, with anything this time around. All I can say about this board is, wow!
<-- Me likes this smiley.

Hey Dom!
Good to hear your back up and running with no glitches! Man that board must of really been hosed then....remember to read around for some "hints" about this board before you start OC'ing. |

Thanks, man, I sure will.
I wanna run something by ya. I notice something different on this board, two things actually. First is in the BIOS there is no option to disable SATA, seems it can only be done manualy, which is no problem. Second is there is no option to select sync mode for the RAM in the BIOS. I think this board is a new revision, but I havn't heard of it. Is there a new revision? |

Do you mean options like buffered, un-buffered?

You mean sync-mode, as in running RAM and CPU at same frequency, right?

Glad to hear this one is workin for ya, nothing worse than gettin broken hardware. But make sure you have the latest BIOS installed and to run your mem in sync, you have to run it at 100%. Is that even there?

Yep, that should do it. When set at 100% it will run at the same speed as the fsb

Seems the board don't like running the FSB and RAM at the same speed, won't let me boot.

Damn, that sucks. Is that mem the XMS low latency stuff? I've heard some bad stories about those with the NF2's. What mem timings are you using?

This is weird. So you're saying you can run the fsb at 133 and the mem at 166, and that it don't work in sync at 133? You said it works async right? What settings do you use to have it stable? Mem timings are only configurable if you select 'expert' in the settings. MAybe you'll have to do that to specify some timings to get it stable.

Well, my CPU's FSB is 266, so the I tried running the RAM at 133, but I couldn't boot w/o clearing the CMOS.
The settings I have working now are, CPU interface = aggresive, memory timings = aggresive and memory frequence is at 150% (200Mhz). |

That's definitely weird. Having it set at 150% though is having the ram run at 150% of the fsb, so there's no way it's at 200MHz right now. It's actually running at 400 the way you have it now(don't know if you were taking ddr). Is 200% the highest it can go?

You definitely may want to back down on the timings since you are trying to run in dual mode. It can be tricky sometimes so everything has to be just right for the charge..discharge of the cells.

I'm stupid...
RAM timings were too aggresive, all better now! Thanks, guys!

Glad to hear you got it workin. You 're not stupid, it's tough until you find the timings your mem likes. If I only had a dime for every time I clear the CMOS
