Can someone tell me why it wouldnt make sence.....

for Microsoft to sell a keyboard & mouse so the X-Box 360 can cruise the internet?After all.The thing is nothing but a computer...right?Or an I missing something here?

For the keyboard part you can use any USB keyboard on the 360, I play FinalFantasyXI online all the time with it. As for the why you can't browse the net I agree with RandomLetters because then you wouldnt need a windows PC. There's also the small matter of evil turds out there who'd have a virus on your Xbox within a week. As it is Microsoft can keep tabs on online risk.

If someone really wanted to, they could poison the Microsoft DNS servers and give the 360 a virus/use it as a DDoS drone.

I would pay more than the normal price for mouse keyboard to work with the 360. MS release them!

I'm just talking about putting a friggen browser on the thing.My 360 is upstairs in my bedroom and my computers are downstairs in my office.I would even settle for a Microsoft browser!

Truth of the matter is no no-one can give you a definitive answer why, but we can give our suggestions. If im honest no it wouldnt make any sense at all. They lose out on software sales and it's not like they'd have to do it because the competition are.

Besides it's a games console, for games. You might as well ask why doesnt Microsoft let me use my 360 to word process or edit a photo. Or why doesnt Microsoft let me play my 360 games on my PC when my PC is downstairs and my 360 is upstairs.

If M$ gave the 360 web access then it would make it that much easier to download hacks, content, and iso's to storage. The main one i believe to be content. They want total control of this because soon when you buy a game it will be a base install and if you want to continue in the game you will have to buy it.
