im looking for a cheap soundcard, and found the "creative sb audigy se" is that card any good?

Check to see if new drivers exist from Creative. If they do, then it is ok to get it.

Still, not the best choice if you are going to upgrade to Vista.

personally at that sort of price range (if you can find one) I'd have a Hercules.
one of my comps runs a Muse 5.1 DVD , and given how cheap it was it's a fantastic card imo

the SE series is kinda "meh"

I'd go with eaither a full blown Audigy 1 or 2, or an OEM X-Fi Music

I would say just get a Live! 24bit for like, $20, but driver support is HORRENDOUS

Go for an OEM creative xifi extreme music.It sells for around $80.But u won't get any of the applications.
And creative will give driver support for the xifi in vista.They are dumping the audigy and everything before that when vista comes out.
