All wheel driver!
|
hi.
I'm interested in buying a desktop type case (not tower) it needs to be about 16 & a half to 17"inches wide at the front. Reason is, is that i want it to fit in with my pioneer separates. ![]() If possible, another thing I'd like is for it to have a/the CD/DVD drive in the center as apposed to say it being on the Left or the right. if it could have a metal front to it instead of a cheap plastic design, that would match my pioneer separates perfectly. i'm also thinking it would look good with one of tho's pioneer DVD drives, you know the ones that slide the disc in with out a tray, just like you get in a car!![]() If anyone can find me something that meets any of the above requirement's (if not all) that would be jolly gud! i say. lol ![]() i'm basicly after something that dsn't obviosly look like a PC.

If you are concerned about cost, then The Mystic case from Thermaltake isn't too bad. It's 6" high, a little under 17" wide, and a little over 17" deep. Usually goes for $120, but I can't remember if it comes with a PSU.
Edit: I almost forgot the Antec Fusion. You can usually find it for $175, and comes with a 430watt PSU. Only problem is that it is about 17.5" wide. Personally I prefer the boxes to look like the rest of my stereo equipment, and as such my personal favs would be the following 3 (all are around $300): Zalman HD160 (a little smaller width size than the Mystic), but also 3 times more expensive, cuz there is no PSU with it (usually goes for $250/$300 with/without PSU). Great thing is that there is lots of space, lots of cooling, takes fullsized PSUs, take fullsized boards, and comes with a 17in1 card reader. Silverstone Home Theatre LC14M Thermaltake Mozart SX with MediaLab (VC4001SNS) (2 things: 1) this one is a bit flashy, but it's nice, and 2) there is one that is 1/2 this hieght, and uses a riser board which is the VC7001SNS).
