hmm not sure HOW small you want....

but i'd seriously check out the coolmaster Centurion 532 (imo, best case design with excellent airflow and it cuts the dust a very considerable amount with the front grill being laced with filtering.)

that's a midtower ATX form factor case, with the overhead PSU mounting, your not considering getting the shorter, side mount PSU style case design are you? (IMO, terrible design, pain in the ass to work in)

?

you amuse me hawgs lol.

The CoolMaster Centurion 532 is fairly well built, and it's VERY nice to build into and setup, The only thing i'd suggest you do before you start throwing things in it is the try and rerun some of the wires and cables for it around and under to get them tucked away nice and neat. With all the machines i've built with this case, it takes me roughly a good half our to and hour to full prep the case (installing fans and running cabling and organization so that all i have to to is pop the board in, and hook the cables up and not have to worry about any extra cabling crap hanging everywhere)

If i were to suggest an HD, Either A: Seagate 7200.10 Hardrives are worth looking at (and fairly cheap but well performing), or the cheaper but similare model is the Maxtor 7200.10 models, they aren't MUCH cheaper, but they are cheaper for pretty much identical HD. Course i think they start @ 320gb in size and 16mb cache, so the 7200.9 is probably your next lower jump down.

The PSU's i've been using in these cases have been the OCZ Modstream 520 watt OR more recently i've had on order OCZ's NEW modular PSU, they are called the EVOStream OCZ psu's they seem to work very excellently and are a damn good step up from the OCZ Modstream. (but aren't cheap)

a cheap alternative is probably Sparkle Powersupplies, take a gander at thier lineup, they are probably the best overall CHEAPEST psu you can get that are fairly reliable. But if your putting anything in a case, it's imo, best to start with one of the best PSU possible, nothing beats a good clean power. Good clean power will produce a better/longer living machine made of crap parts then a machine made of good parts and a shitty psu.

Amuse you.How so?...And I'm not looking to go"bargan basement" on the parts...just a good bang 4 the buck. This is gonna be a "family rig".My daughters HP we bought 4 or 5 years ago has gone tits-up.And the kids DO NOT touch my gaming rigs. There locked up in my office in the basement. And there whining about not being able too get onto the net.And I would like a little something up there that will run games too at decent framerates.Along with e-mail access and so forth.Theres 16 steps too go downstairs & with the 8 sugeries I have had on my right hip it gets real old going downstairs and back up to check e-mail or look something up.I have lived with chronic pain for the last 10 years & am on HIGH powered painkillers 24/7.This mite clarify what I'm doing abit.

Not really sure,

maybe cause you occasionally jump at the first suggestion?

I wasn't exactly sure what you were looking for and suggested the case, and then you had posted twice after saying you'd take it.

So i'm not completely sure what you want still, is it what you were looking for?

Small case usually means Mini ATX form factor, but using a normal size motherboard requires a ATX, and the only way to get small (shorter i'm guess is what your looking for?) would be to get the side mount psu design (drops the heigth of the case roughly 4-5 inches but widening it usually a good 2-3inches, but also giving you greif with some cooling solutions or generally a pain to work in).

What did you have before is i guess what i'm really thinking about, What was large about it that you wanted smaller?

As for a clarification on the amuse part: I just think your quite "bubbly, get up and lets go" kinda feeling i get from your posts. That's of course no way ment to be offensive, your probably better off then i am.

None taken at all.....See,this rig is gonna have too share a monitor with my X-Box.Too expensive too buy another 1 now.I do have the HP "fishbowl" monitor but that things a piece of shit.Only 15".So I wanted it too be sorta small. But not too small cause I'm 6'2" and have large hands.

a small case... BUT a regular MoBo has to go into it?

Lian Li PC-V600.
could only fit normal size power supply, ones with a modular design/plugs would be preferred so you won't have a hard time keeping all the unused wires inside the computer case.

You might check out the CoolerMaster Centurian 5 also. Pretty much the same internally as the 532 but a bit more 'classy' looking IMHO.
