??? Windows XP & Motherboard Upgrade:

Hi,
I am running Windows XP Pro corporate edition and in the process of upgrading power supply, motherboard, AGP, CPU and audio which is on the motherboard.

My question is what is the best solution with regard to my currently installed drivers?
Is there a registry entry I can delete to force Windows XP to re-detect all the new hardware or can I just upgrade and let Windows do its own detecting?

Should I manually uninstall any drivers before upgrading, i.e. Display, sound?

Help for anyone who has been there would be appreciated.

Geoff.

I can only speak from experience, but I've upgraded my mobo twice since getting Windows XP Pro. The first time was an Intel board, along with a new processor. Windows located the new components and booted up just fine. The second instance was with a new Gigabyte board and ram, same processor. Windows refused to boot. I ended up having to use the repair feature on the XP CD, but I lost nothing on the drive in the process. So, if worse comes to worse, you can always repair your XP installation.
