I decided to hookup my Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive to my Windows XP system. After installing, XBOX360-1[1].HD-DVDRom.UDF.Reader.v2.5.WindowsXP-BluePrint and PowerDVD 7.1 ultra it worked great. Awesome HD and no problems.

THIS IS THE CHEAPEST EXTERNAL HD-DVD DRIVE. $199.99 instead of $450.00.

But here is the catch.

You need to have an HDCP complaint video card and monitor.

If you use the latest version of AnyDVD you don't.

I saw this in Maximum PC. If you chose to have the driver wizard search the internet for drivers you get one right from MS Windows Update

From what i know it does work with Vista, you don't even need to update anything. It work from the get go..

(at least this is what i've heard)
