monitor refresh rate problem

Since I got my 9700Pro I noticed lines on my screen rising-up. It kind of looks like when heat rises on from a heater or hot concrete, etc. This only happens when I have my monitor refresh rate set above 85Hz, is there anyway to fix this?

Thanks, Dom.

Might it be "moire" ? (I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong)

Look in your monitor's on-screen display settings for "moire" cancellation or something.

perhaps

That just adjusts the position of the OSD menu. You spelled it right though!

What is moire

So try adjusting like Vampy said. On my monitor the setting is different for every resolution and refresh rate.

Pic:

(note that the "pattern" could be larger, fewer "lines")

I'm not sure, I forgot to mention the problem is on and off. I haven't notice the lines again, when I do I try the moire.
