Help please OMG ! 7900GS pcie at x4 only !!!

Hi all ! i dont know what to do anymore !

My pcie is using only x4 of x16..

WinXP sp2 101.2 forceware
P5WD2 PREMIUM 802 BIOS PSU ENERMAX 535
P4 630 3@4GHZ EVEN AT STOCK STILL REMAIN THE PROBLEM
ALL DRIVERS UP. PCIE - 100 PCI - 33 , ALL AUTO !
pcie - XFX 7900gs primary slot
already reflashed to 709, none...back to 802.

many have this problem but with x1 and with p5b...

please someone ?

Is it plugged into the top PCIE slot, sounds to me like you have it in the 4x slot which is on the bottom.

yep its is plugged on top (blue one)

yep friend , i changed all bios settings, NB and SB voltages,

i tried to setting pcie- to 100 101 102 105 110 120..
. well i be waiting for someone. asus dont even read my problem.. ¬¬'

Also set your power management scheme to always on, and check with CPUZ 1.39 for the PCIE Link Width..... Also Try reinstalling the card.

i try that about always on,, and i already reinstalled, cleaned all pc reconnected all cables etc.

very strange, cpuz says...4x of x16 supported

CPu, 1.336v
pcie- 1.5
SB- 1.05

Plug the card into the pcie 8x and see what it does. If it goes 8x link or stays 4x, sounds like either your PCIE 16 is damaged or the card itself is damaged.

ill try that. and hope not be damaged !

but some people have this problem with x1 at p5w´s mobos and they
solved by setting voltage NB to 1.45 wich my dont have... only 1.50 155 165....

That problem was more Bios related than it was NB voltage.... And I dont believe I ever saw a P5W have that problem it was P5B's...But lemme know if it works on the 8x

ok vga working, but not yet on x16 or x8, other vga its ok on x16. something is blocking that. sorry was on p5b, not on p5w lol any help? some voltage test? or pcie frequency?
