I've never seen a 22/21" CRT that was comfortably usable at 2048x1536.

Keep in mind that dot pitch isn't comparable between aperture grill and shadow mask monitors, aperture grill monitors don't technically have a "dot pitch".

Vertical wires?

I can easily spot the horizontal wires, but they don't bother me... sort of like my nose.

Ask drakon, it's the only monitor that i could stand using at it's 2048x1536 resolution for hours, playing on it games wise just as brilliantly excellent (as long as you had a video card capable of it).

Most monitors that i know of that can hit 2048x1536, usually looked quite blurry or kinda eye gouging, the 1100DF however was not like that at all.

IMO,

I like Samsungs high quality CRTs the best. I've still got the 900IFT which still is a whopper of an excellent high quality 19" that just can't be beat by any of the other 19" samsung monitors.

They shimmer too much, those Vertical wires.

You never seen the Viewsonic P225, have you?

I wish I had bought like 4 of these back in the day...
