Poll: Would you like a mac forum?

Well there was a bit of discussion in the feedback forum about this and it seems like there are a reasonable number of mac users on this forum. There is some concern that maybe there is not enough demand for a mac forum, but lets just find out what kind of demand we really have.

Would you guys be interested in a dedicated mac forum where you could discuss mac hardware, OS X, killer apps for Mac, various methods to run dual OSes on a mac, etc etc? Basically discussions about all things Mac.

I don't have a Mac, and will most likely never own one, but I can still see the advantages to having such a forum.

I'm missing an "I don't have a Mac and I don't want a mac forum" option. Now the only option I could go with is "Macs suck", but I dont know if they suck because I have never seen one...

lol Sorry guys. I should probably have changed that. I was just being witty. Basically if you dont have a mac and you dont see value in the mac forum, go with the macs suck thing. :-)

I don't have a Mac but this is a Computer Tech Support Site. Why limit the site to just PCs? At the very least give it a try and see if a forum is needed.

BTW, this is what one forum (here in CZ) member has in his sig: "MACINTOSH – Most applications crash. If not, the operating system hangs."

How far from truth is that?

I have a mac, totally dig it, but don't see the need for a dedicated forum here.

actually thats my general experience. The OS feels fairly solid (though it DOES have strange bugs that show up from time to time) but the apps are the worst. They constantly crash and you have to force quit them or the entire system hangs. Its quite sad.

I've heard that this is not the case for PPC macs, but for Intel macs, it is very true.

edit: Hmmm it seems as though the voting is not going so well...I was hoping for a good majority of Yeses...

Not exactly true, but if they didn't have problems I wouldn't have a job.

Why should Scottish people get there own thread?

Oh wait I see........I don't think it could do any harm, it's a bit of a none argument really, if you don't want to visit the Mac forum then don't click on it, simple as. So my vote is sure why not. Never owned one though, I don't really seem them as a viable gaming platform and rarely work hard enough to justify one as a tool.

Well I decided to open one, based on feedback I think there might be enough interest to warrant it. I also received a few emails about the subject. You will find this new forum just below the one this thread is in.
