exclamation Parts of eBay's website don't work

For the past few days I've been having this problem with eBay like when I use some features it says "The page cannot be displayed". This happens when I click Sell, My eBay, Relist item, Register and many other links on eBay. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or if it's a problem with my computer.

No, it's definitely my computer. I tried it on the second hard drive and it works. Only on my main one it doesn't. If only I knew what was wrong.

re

delete "index.dat" file and the problems should be resolved.. look for the file at "%userprofile%\local settings\temporary internet files\content.ie5" or "%userprofile%\cookies"

No. None of those methods work. No one has found a solution I don't think cuz a lot of people have the same problem: http://forums.ebay.com/db1/search.js...user=&range=75 It is definitely file related though because it works on my second hard drive when I boot off of it. Also, it only started showing this error like a week ago.

Big Grin I AM A FUCKING GENIUS

Excuse the swearing but I'm just so excited I fixed it. And to believe that all these people have been having this problem for months and still no one has found a solution...until now! It was simple, really. I knew that it was a file problem so the only solution would be to find the file causing the problem...and so I did. The file is wininet.dll located in c:\windows\system32. How did I find this out? Well, I was using my second hard drive winxp boot and I was trying to figure out what was different from my primary hard drive setup. I'm telling u...if it wasn't for my second hard drive I dunno what I would do. Anyways, I went into the About Internet Explorer menu and I noticed something odd. I had remembered looking at my About menu in my primary hdd winxp and where it said update versions it was 2 lines long instead of 1. I knew an extra update was installed that wasn't in my secondary hard drive winxp. This turned out to be the solution. I typed in 811383 (the update # it showed in about in my primary winxp setup) into google and found out about the file wininet.dll. I then compared the file on my 2 hard drives and found them very different. There is no way of uninstalling this update from add/remove prog or any other way except to delete the file and restore it from a pre-811383 setup, which i luckily had on my secondary hard drive. So I copied the file, restarted and voila! The parts of eBay that didn't work now do! This is so great. I guess all those people did was install a Microsoft Update. Isn't that so bogus?! Microsoft still has this update and the article on it can be viewed here: http://support.microsoft.com/default...#91;LN];811383. Microsoft needs to be informed of this immediately. There are at least hunders of people out there that have this problem with eBay and have found no solution. We need to spread the word! 811383 is GAY!!!
Oh, BTW, I would like to know if any of you have this installed and CAN still access those sections of eBay I have mentioned. Because I think that MAYBE just MAYBE this only messes up eBay on some computers and not others.

P.S.
It seems I always solve my own problems after posting them here. Thanks for nothing guys=P
