Hey...
You've got some premium components there that are dragged down by a couple others...

Your input devices (mouse-keyboard), hard drive, audio, and OS are well above average, whereas the video card and monitor just aren't a good match for the rest - but you probably know that...

I would put the value, as a system, at only about $500 give or take a bit, even with the nice mouse, gaming pad, hard drive, and audio (as an enticement to buy the used system...). Reason being that you can get a Gateway (just as a for instance) with a Pentium D 3Ghz and comparable features (your audio is way better though, of course) and a much better monitor, and a warranty, for $700.00.

thats the entire idea.... im most likely keeping the hard disk, mouse, and sound setup....... but yea, the rest doesnt match with these components, im thinking an e6320 with 8800GTS and 2GB of ram but then i loose a good upgrade path.......

i really wish my parents never surprised me with the computer, Netburst is ancient, if i knew it i would ahve gotten an LGA 775 system or 939 system then....... just wasted over 1000 bucks with their mistake.

Even an AMD 939 system isn't that attractive anymore. AM2 is the 'in thing' now.

But, like the others have said, value for the setup you have is in the $500 - 600 range.

I'm to tired to do the leg work... but imagein say 25-40% off the curent market
value of the parts as "new" at it cheapest source...on the web

but thats a ball park figure as it depends on who buying it, the condition etc aka
you have the box it came in etc... and weather your selling the system whole
or parted out. it varries greatly private party / over the web it's all in how you sell it too.

is like have a corvette with a tiny engine... most people will not buy
because the cost of the shine stuff way off sets the core value which is low.
If you part out the newer parts and higher end acessories you'd have a better
chance selling the remaing system as a unit or bare bones vs parting the whole
thing out.

as it's unfair to give you a value as the addons that most people won't care
about inflates the value and must be weighted and then devauled by the core
system to make the price fit. other wise it'll seem pricey to anyone one not
going googly eyed oper the wow value of the few extra's
