New G5 Laser Mouse troubles.....

So I have a new G5 mouse, and for whatever reason Setpoint wont recognize it?

Im not sure why either, it only shows up as HID compliant mouse in device manager too

Only thing I can suggest is uninstalling Setpoint, delete the Logitech folder for it, and reinstall Setpoint using the CD included in the package for the updated mouse. After that, be sure to run the updates.

It's quite possible that Logitech has only updated the Setpoint driver on the CD to support the mouse so far, and will, at some time, include it in their auto updates, and their downloadable Setpoint (seeing as how it's 3 months old).
