Hello, was just wondering, i s this sytem configuration good for playing games of today?

AMD Athlon 5600+ X2 64-bit Dual Core
2GB DDR 2 RAM
500GB Sata II Hard Drive
6 USB Ports
650Watt Power Supply
Geforce 7600 GS 512MB Video Card
18x DVD RW
Card Reader

By the way, how many GHZ would that be?
My brother does not know if he should purchase that PC or not, someone please give some advice, thx a lot in advance

Ps, I think Mobo is Asus.
the pricetag is $1,100,00
worth it?

Heck yes....that rig will play anything.The only thing you may wanna re-think is the GFX card.It wont do DX-10 games.....when they come out that is.To do DX-10 games you will need an nVidia 8800 series GFX card.But that bad boy has everything you need.And that CPU will OC also.As will the GFX card....What type motherboard does it have?Thats the key to OCing.Most systems like Dell,Gateway and HP arent OCable.....And the CPU will clock in at 2.8GHz from the factory.

By the time that true DX10 games come out there will be many, many more options for video cards than the 8800 series from nVidia, AND they will be less expensive than they are now.

For now that system will do just fine, though probably not with all the eye-candy enabled and not at the highest resolutions.
