Just got me some CD-RW's...
well i have finally gotten myself 5 CD-RW's (4X... uhg) and i was just wondering (and i probably already know the answer... just making sure) if you are even able to finalize one... or if you can write on them all the time until the 100,000th time or it goes corrupted... because i am burning a 734 meg file and nero said it would have to finalize it to burn it and it asked me if i wanted to finalize it...

um, what size cds are these?!?! If you have some sort of ultra capacity cd or something nero is probably confused becuase its used to handling 700MB cds.

You might be able to overburn that file on there. I've done some successful overburns with 700meg media, so maybe it'll work for you. Also, just becuase it's finalized doesn't mean you won't be able to use it again, all you have to do to use it again is to have nero erase it. Also, I don't think you can actually ever reach the 100,000 rewrite mark (or however high it really is) since new faster stuff is always being made, making upgrading pretty necessary (I've got 10x media to replace my old 4x media for example).
You know, there is a limit to how many rewrites a floppy is allowed to take - I think it's a million - and when you reach it the drive will refuse to write to it! I've never done this (I don't think anyone really can), but something interesting. ~eyeguy616 Last edited by eyeguy616; Apr 6, 2003 at 06:19 PM. |
