RAM questions

I just recently bought PC2100 RAM i bought a 512meg stick to go in my board. The ram is Kingston it says on the package CL2.5 is that the Cas Latency? And im wondering what i should my timings to in my BIOs for my ram? TIA

Most memory i've tried can take cas 2 ...and if you have that option try enabling 4 bank interleave...if it take that, keep lowering your timings until you reaches the limit....and if it gets unstable you can always try upping the voltage to the ram (if you have that option..)

Update: Cas Latency at 2.5T......Ras Active time 4T........Precharge time 2T.........at 150FSB

yep... i still havent gotten around to changing my timings... god i am so lazy. I won't even do something that doesnt require me to get out of my chair...

nah at cas 2 it craps out and wont boot i can get there if i turn down the RAS timing and the precharge so what should i sit too?

As long as you don't change the FSB speed, benchmark with Sandra and see what situation is better (and post your results
