i'd just vuild me self a high end quad-core pc for that kind of dough
or put it in the bank and get some interest
or spend half of it on a laptop like the HP DV 9000t and some 360 games and rest in the bank

anyway does anyone have a clue as to how many units of this kind of stuff gets sold?

400GB? I'd be interested to see what the spindle speed and physical size of the drive is... I'd imagine like at best 2x 7200RPM 2.5" drives 200GB's in RAID0 or JBOD?
