the only issue i've come across on the drivers, is the drivers not wanting to install.

The most widespread problem in their drivers is crackling in the sound, and a host of other problems whether it be vista, or just hardware malfunctions like crashing games (used to crash BF2142 alot) But then again might have been EA's fault.

But creative wont get anymore money from me unless they fix their driver department and update their stuff more.

I thought i was the only one with the crackling sound problems. Did 2 things to reduce the problem. First I muted the Auxiliary 2, then I installed the original version drivers. But it still appears, though rarely.

Yeah, I mean I cant say that Creative is a terrible company, but their product support is atrocious. And they dont update stuff you pay lots of money for very often especially when its supposedly their top of the line stuff.

The driver crackling/game problems have been around since the cards came out, some have it some dont. In many forums its a reconstructable problem that Creative fails to fix or acknowledge. And currently their driver support for Vista is terrible, not that I use it but ive seen many complaints in forums about their drivers and the various problems with them.

Ive only had 2 games where the hardware acceleration with Xfi crashed the game, or caused sound problems BF2142 and X3....Other than that theyve been pretty good, but I want some more features and quality from a soundcard Im going to pay 100$+ for....Thats why when the Auzentech XFi comes out they got my money, their XMeridian line Ive heard nothing but good things from, so I will be trying them out when that is released.

Nah I get it all the time, and its annoying as all hell. Also with highend speakers from like JBL or Bose plugged into from home audio....You start to really hear the crackling in playback and sound, they really should have fixed this by now.
