my thoughts on the Antec P182SE
So i got my P182SE for some days ago and yesterday i moved my system to it.
DH did a great review: here But i feel they missed a few things: The manual isn't pretty good, all the special additions is no where mentioned in the manual. Also there isn't images in the manual, which would have been nice in some cases, to ease the installation. The included coolers is for my taste not silent enough when in low mode. They are not noisy, but it would have been nice if they were just a tad more silent. Also the power-molex' from the coolers, no where is their mentioned if you can connect them as an connecting link between you PSU's molex and eg. your HDD or other equipment, which uses a molex from the PSU. So I didn't take any "chances" and use some splitters, but it would have been nice to know for sure. The cable management system on the backside of the motherboard is great, but it would have been nice with a few more holes to the motherboard and more important a bit more space, it can get bit cramped, when you slide on the chassis case. The lower HDD cage can hold 4 drives, but if you install SATA drives, make sure you have some soft SATA cables. Because it gets very cramped with 4 drives and with stiff SATA cables, they tend to either pop out or interfere with the cooler in the lower section. Also install the power switch, reset switch, hdd led cables aso. from the chassis to the motherboard jumpers, before you insert the motherboard, because it's pretty tight in the bottom where the jumpers are located. All the upper problems are minor flaws, which doesn't remove the joy from the chassis, because it's an awesome chassis, though a bit expensive ![]() But there is one major flaw... If the 12V 4pin cable from your PSU is a bit short, you properly is going to need some extension of it or drill a hole right on top of the PSU in the bottom chamber. Antec should have made a small hole right above the PSU chamber to avoid this problem. Lucky for me my cable was long enough, when i ran it UNDER my graphic card. A great chassis, but not perfect and some of the flaws are easily fixed

How the hell can you hear those Antec fans on low? My dog's breathing at the other end of the house makes more noise than all 3 of them on low
![]() You people just need to go to more heavy metal concerts. You'd be surprised at how silent your system gets after having done no more than go get drunk and have fun just the one time
