I just purchased an ECS AMD690GM-M2 motherboard that has a header for SPDIF out (pins for +5V, spdif signal, and ground). Unfortunately the board did not come with a daughterboard for SPDIF out. I do however have a CT4660 SPDIF Coax/MIDI daughterboard that I had previously used with my Audigy. Does anybody know if I can directly hook this card up to my motherboard SPDIF out, and if so which pins I'll need to connect up? I tried guessing at these by looking at the Audigy pinouts (e.g. connecting pin 1 for 5 volt, pin 3 for ground, and pin 17 for SPDIF out), but had no luck...
Thanks in advance! |

OK, problem solved... there was a short circuit... between my ears :-) I actually didn't have the pins 1,3, and 17 hooked up due to a miscount, but once I did get the right pins, everything worked like a charm!
