Best cpu for my motherboard

I have an asus A7V133-c. It only supports a 266 fsb, but all bartons run on the 333 bus. Can I buy a barton and run it on a 266 bus and still get the benefits of the 640k of cache? Or should I get a thoroughbred and overclock it like crazy?

NO, you cannot. As far as I remember from my old A7V-133 I could only run UP to an Athlon XP 2200.

Well, you actually CAN put a Barton in there (or another FSB333 Cpu), but you'll not be happy with it, as it will only at FSB266

e.g. a 2600+ (12.5x166) will run at 2000+ speed (12.5x133). I don't think that's what you want...
