Random flickering in games sometimes issue

A weird issue I have been having is a strange, annoying flicker in games. Seems totally random too. I have an LCD set to 60 hz refresh. Enabling V-sync or disableing it doesn't fix the issue. It is random. Rebooting does't help either. It has only happened a few times since I reformated last week.

I just played DiRT and Enemy Territory Quake Wars and they played fine. I exited the DiRT, came back an hour later to play and the screen is flashing and flickering like an old CRT with a low refresh rate, like seizure inducing flickering. Headache. No changes in between games, no reboots.

I go and try Quake Wars and the same thing. I try 3dMark06 it is still doing also. Never did before. I uninstalled my drivers on my ATI x1900 Crossfires (2) and reinstalled clean. Reboot, still flicking in all games.

Then I launch BF2 and no flickering. Play a minute, still great frames. I go back and immediately try both DiRT and ET and the is NO Flickering anymore. This happened with a couple of 3planesoft screensavers last week too. I can't figure it out, why it does it sometimes and then doesn't.

My PC is very cool. 15 degrees celcius cooled. Nothing is overclocked.

Specs.

Vista Ultimate 64
Dell 22" LCD
x1900xtx and x1900 crossfire in crossfire mode.
700 watt thermaltake toughpower PSU
2 gigs of 3200 ram
AMD FX-60
A8R-MVP mobo using onboard sound (till the new azuntech card drops)
10,000 rpm WD HD
liquid cooling. Many fans.
